A four residue peptide with an alternating aromatic cationic structure that concentrates in the inner mitochondrial membrane, where it associates with cardiolipin. It is by a distance the most clinically advanced compound in this catalogue.

Where it came from

Developed from the Szeto-Schiller peptide series at Weill Cornell, then taken into clinical development by Stealth BioTherapeutics.

What a buyer should know

Advanced clinical development is not the same as approval, and several of its trials did not meet their primary endpoints. The fact that a compound has real trial data cuts both ways, because the failures are on the record too.
