A four residue peptide developed as a synthetic stand in for Epithalamin, an extract of bovine pineal gland. It is the compound most associated with telomere and pineal research in this catalogue.

Where it came from

Developed by Vladimir Khavinson and the St Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, part of a long running Russian programme on short regulatory peptides.

Long running human observation exists in the Russian literature, but not in a form that maps onto a modern controlled trial.

What a buyer should know

Nearly the entire evidence base comes from a single institute and a single research programme, much of it published in Russian language journals, with very little independent Western replication. That is not proof it is wrong, but it is a material fact any reseller should be able to state plainly.

Handling and stability

Very short, highly water soluble, supplied lyophilised. Short sequences of this kind degrade quickly in solution at room temperature.
