A modified C-terminal fragment of human growth hormone spanning residues 176 to 191, with an added tyrosine. It was designed to isolate the lipolytic region of growth hormone away from its growth promoting and glucose effects.
Where it came from
Developed by Metabolic Pharmaceuticals in Australia, which took it into human obesity trials in the 2000s.

State of the evidence
It reached Phase 2b in humans. The trial did not show a statistically significant weight reduction against placebo and the programme did not proceed to registration.
What a buyer should know
This is the rare research peptide where good quality human data exists and is negative. Any reseller repeating fat loss claims for AOD-9604 should know that its own developer's trial failed to demonstrate them. It is on the WADA prohibited list under S2.
