Adipotide
Also published as FTPP, Prohibitin-targeting peptidomimetic
A two part construct joining a peptide that homes to prohibitin on the vasculature of white adipose tissue to a pro-apoptotic sequence. Rather than altering metabolism, it is designed to destroy the blood supply feeding fat tissue.

Developed by Renata Pasqualini and Wadih Arap, with the primate work published from MD Anderson in 2011.

State of the evidence
Primate data exists and showed weight reduction. It also showed dose dependent renal effects. No completed human trial.
What a buyer should know
The primate study reported kidney toxicity, and that finding is a documented part of the same paper the weight loss result comes from. Of everything Halden lists, this is the compound whose mechanism is least compatible with casual handling, because the mechanism is targeted cell death.
