Acetic Acid Solution

A dilute acid solution used to bring hydrophobic or poorly water soluble peptides into solution when neutral water will not do it. It is a laboratory reagent, not a diluent for general use.

What a buyer should know
Peptides are least soluble near their isoelectric point, which is why acid helps for basic sequences and hurts for acidic ones. Using it by default rather than by solubility profile can precipitate material rather than dissolve it.
Handling and stability
Corrosive at concentration. Follow the safety data sheet for the grade supplied. Dilute solutions still warrant eye protection.
